Helloooo and welcome,
Thankyou for taking the time to read this blog!! 🙏🙏🙏
Yoga four letters, but all that it encompasses is infinite.
I think we could study all of yoga’s teaching for lifetimes and still not know it all.
Like everything through time things morph and evolve everytime something is shared whoever shares it naturally and unknowingly puts their own spin on it. We see things through our own lens of all that we are, all that we have experienced. We are all beautifully unique, yet the same.
I like to think of yoga as opening up a medicine cupboard, there’s loads of magic in there to cure what’s ailing me but I only take what I need and leave everything else on the shelf.
There is some pure magic in the yoga sutras (written over 4000 years ago) that have had such a positive impact on my life, that I took the decision to share what I have learned with anyone who wishes to know more.
Some things will resonate, somethings might not. And that’s ok.
The way we move is unique, the way things land with us is unique. Who we are is unique.
I’m an average person, I work part time in a GP reception, I have 4 amazing children, 1 truly wonderful grandson who I idolise, A wonderful husband, I’m very blessed in my life, but we all have a story, I didn’t always see things that way. Life isn’t always kind, the good, the bad, the happy the sad, they ebb and flow coming and going constantly on this journey of life.
Nothing ever stays the same for long.
Yoga hasn’t turned me into an a positive guru with all the answers . 😂😂
But is has taught me how to muddle through life looking for the good, accepting who I am warts and all. It’s taught me to set boundaries and value myself.
It corny but it’s true its also taught me it’s ok not to be ok sometimes.
Yoga anchors me back to the present, to be in the moment of right now. To calm that constant voice in my head that does not serve me well.
I believe Yoga can benefit anyone and everyone in mind, body and soul through movement, breath and meditation or quiet reflection. We naturally have preconceived ideas of what yoga is and that’s ok, maybe if we open our hearts and minds perhaps embrace a curious attitude what’s the worst that could happen?
What’s stopping you rolling out your mat?
What could a regular yoga practice do for you?
